The Healthcare Division is dedicated to assisting and advocating on the behalf of our veterans and their families with their healthcare related needs. Do you have questions or concerns about private and government benefit programs? The ADRC’s State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) helps with all health insurance questions, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Older Americans Act Title 3 and Title 6 Services
The state plan has been developed to meet requirements under Title III and Title VII of the Older Americans Act. The act provides funding for a variety of programs and services for older New Mexicans and their caregivers, including supportive services, nutrition programs, disease prevention and health promotion initiatives, elder rights protection activities and caregiver support programs.

The Medical Cannabis Program ensures patients have safe access to medicine for a number of qualifying health conditions, and licenses non-profit producers and dispensaries in the state.

Public Health Offices
Our more than 50 public health offices across the state provide a wide array of services from immunizations (available for children through age 18 and limited for adults), family planning services (to include pregnancy tests and some forms of birth control), testing and treatment with partner services for sexually transmitted diseases, and Children’s Medical Services for children and youth with special health care needs.
